Happy Valentine's Day
We (sometimes) think Valentine’s Day was invented by a wedding planner to get couples who got engaged over the holidays thinking about what the ceremony and reception will be. But seriously, we romantics know that the rocky coast of Maine makes an ideal backdrop for weddings, romantic getaways and anniversary celebrations. There are endless opportunities for couples to share a thousand miles of secluded coves, woodland trails and cozy inns with luxurious accommodations and creative chefs. And we’re not the only ones saying Spruce Point Inn is a master of romance.
New England Inns and Resorts Association recently asked us to suggest “the best places to kiss in New England” so we went back this image of a couple aboard the Sarah Mead, a historic schooner lobster boat moored at Spruce Point. More than one sunset sail proposal has resulted in a “yes” with this setting for the ring!
This summer we plan to tuck benches into the nooks that are favorite places for guests to enjoy the view and ocean breezes. And we give every corner of the Inn, from guestrooms to gardens a close look to make sure every moment is as perfect as we can make it for whatever special day you might be celebrating here at Spruce Point Inn. “Don’t change a hair for me”? Not if we truly care for you. Each day is Valentine’s Day.
PS: A Spruce Point Inn gift certificate would make a wonderful Valentine…
