Sometimes small meetings are more difficult to organize than large conferences. We appreciate the fact that an entrepreneurial company retreat may need to reflect the same casual style as its participants – and doesn’t want the anonymous bureaucracy of a fill-in form. We know that an executive team or corporate board can bring higher expectations, wider experience and more exacting requirements for service, hospitality and the details – such as selection of rooms, creative menus with appropriate wines and recreational alternatives like a charter sail or exclusive tee times – than a larger group, even from the same company.
Small meetings and corporate retreats are a specialty here at Spruce Point Inn. We got our start more than a century ago, hosting captains of industry in the fishing lodge built here at the end of Grandview Avenue. Make no mistake -- the “rusticators” who established places like Boothbay and Bar Harbor expected nothing but the best when it came to comfort, comestibles and atmosphere.
Today we are proud to host secure events for private companies and the government. We relish the opportunity to prepare a lobster bake for conferees, their spouses, families and their guests. You will find every resort capability, from Wi-Fi and AV, to onsite swimming pools and kids’ camp, to the evening’s gatherings around the firepit for s’mores, here on our 56-acre site.
Our goal is the same seamless operation that you’ve come to expect from grand venues; and that’s because we meet those demands, too. We just understand that, under the microscope, the small must meet the same standards as the large.
