Coastal Maine Photography Seminar

Develop your photographic skills while enjoying Downeast hospitality on the coast of Maine

The coast of Maine is a photographer’s paradise.  Join David Marx for a unique photography workshop at the historic Spruce Point Inn this June 11 - 14.  In this short photography workshop we will discuss  contemporary digital photography techniques while photographing the remote islands and gorgeous coastline of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  You won't believe how much you can learn, and how much your photography can improve, in just a few days.

This workshop is centered around the sea and its endless photographic possibilities.  Throughout our workshop, we will float from island to island on one day in our own private motorboat while photographing beautiful harbors, remote lighthouses, and working lobster boats.  On the second day, we will visit the amazing Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, as well as, Ocean Point for a sunset shoot.

Brief lectures on digital photographic techniques will be held each morning before we embark to explore and to enjoy the spectacular Maine coast.  We will stay out by the water photographing until sunset and then dine together most evenings.

This is a terrific opportunity for participants to learn new techniques from an experienced digital photography teacher while enjoying the cuisine and hospitality of Maine’s Classic Seaside Resort.  This photography workshop is appropriate for participants of all skill levels.  We ask that you bring full camera batteries, plenty of empty memory cards, and a keen interest in photographing life along this special part of the Atlantic Ocean.  This is a great chance to learn, to shoot, and to enjoy the stunning beauty that is the coast of Maine.

David Marx invites you to call by phone 406.356.6279 or email to discuss the workshop syllabus, course expectations and your interests.

Rates, including taxes and gratuities, range from $1,475 single occupancy ($2,045, double).

The Photography Seminar may be reserved by calling Cindy Poe, Reservations Manager, at 1.800.553.0289. Cost includes 3 nights lodging, meals, seminar fees, taxes and gratuities. Additional days and activities may be added at exclusive rates.
