Spruce Point Inn Brings Best of Mid-Coast Attractions to Maine Family Resort
Boothbay Harbor, Maine (April 20, 2012) – Spruce Point Inn, a 57-acre oceanfront resort on the peninsula at the approach to Boothbay Harbor, (boothbayharbor.com) is one of the most spectacular locations on the Maine coast. As Allison Tibaldi wrote recently in MyFamilyTravels.com, “Few towns say summer as quintessentially as Boothbay Harbor, Maine… It seems fitting that this iconic Mid-Coast Maine town is home to Spruce Point Inn.“ The Inn has become a coveted destination for family vacations, thanks to its selection of classic cottages, historic Inn rooms, family townhomes and comfortable lodges – and its oceanside memories made in Maine. From exploring the shoreline to enjoying the evening s’mores around the convivial firepit, summers at Spruce Point Inn are meant for the family scrapbook.
Spruce Point has created several packages that combine the best the resort has to offer and tickets to local experiential attractions. Offered midweek (Sundays through Thursdays), May 20 through June 28, 2012 (and again in September and October) the packages include:

Spruce Point Inn has made significant improvements to the property in the past eighteen months. In 2011, the contemporary guestrooms in the lodges were redone, introducing new colors, new furnishings and amenities including Kuerig coffeemakers, flat-screen LCD televisions and gas stoves. This year, the innkeepers have upgraded the décor in the historic Inn and the classic cottagesadopting soothing marine palette accented with historical resort photography and adding wireless access and LCD flat screen televisions. All Inn rooms are now air-conditioned and new amenities were added, including comfortable plush top beds with triple sheeting in luxurious linens, a refrigerator (stocked with Poland Spring water), wireless access, LCD flat screen television, i-Pod docking station, and a Keurig coffeemaker (with a selection of Green Mountain Coffee and teas). 'Summer home' improvements in all of the cottages include new screen doors and replacement of bathroom floors and fixtures. Guests also now have the option of reserving select cottage suites.
Families especially enjoy the attention and amenities of the full service resort – a range of family-friendly experiences in the three restaurants (88 for Maine coastal cuisine, Bogie’s casual bistro and Deck the seasonal oceanfront café), two swimming pools (fresh and saltwater), waterfront amenities including a complimentary water launch, 25’ dock and ten moorings, recreational equipment (sea kayaks, bicycles, lawn games), and a full service Spa. Lighthouse Camp is a great place for kids to meet other vacationers their own age while enjoying special kids-only activities – and giving the adults some prime relaxation time of their own.
