2019 Master Brewers:
WHAT ELSE CAN BE SAID?
Listen up folks, this is a FIVE STAR Brewcation! The location was amazing and what made it even better was the timing of it. Boothbay after Labor Day was perfect. It wasn’t crowded with tourists, we had the place to ourselves! The weather was perfect too, mid 70’s with an ocean breeze during the day and cool nights. I think everything else was covered by other people. I would not hesitate to recommend one of these events to another person and am looking forward to doing more of them.
My wife and I had a GREAT TIME! The food, beer, accommodations, people, and weather could not have been better!
I would recommend this trip to anyone that likes to brew and go on a nice vacation.
Very well organized for a large crowd ( maybe 100 people? ). The days were well planned out and not stressful!
Transportation was excellent also. I would love to do another!
It was such a pleasure spending timing brewing and picking the brains of the guest brewers. They were all great, and very willing to answer abundant questions. The setting (and the weather) couldn’t have been better! The tasting, tour, and hospitality at Allagash was wonderful. The final dinner and beer pairing was a winner too. This was an all around top notch event. I’d do another one (and probably will). If you’re thinking of doing one of the retreats, go for it! Thanks to everyone involved with setting this up and participating!
ALL AROUND GREAT EVENT
The Craft Brew and Brewing folks put on a great event. I especially appreciated the time that the featured brewmasters spent with us. These guys took time out of their busy schedules to spend 3 days days with us brewing, drinking beer and having a good time.
Of course the real unsung hero’s of the event were Brain, Bobbie and their parents from Ruby Street Brewing who cleaned all the vessels for us on the brew days. That’s the perfect brew day; brewing with a great brewmaster, then No Cleanup! SSBrewtech and BSG also did a great job providing materials and equipment.
We made some great friendships, can’t wait until next year. Thanks CB&B.
WORTH THE MONEY
As a brewery owner and head brewer since 2012 I was a little skeptical when I first signed up to attend so was looking at this as more of a vacation than a retreat. I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time interacting with hobby brewers and some that were hoping to go professional in the future. The sessions with the guest brewers was a load of fun and they were willing to answer some of the more professional questions that I had. All of the sponsors did a great job keeping things rolling and Jamie did an awesome job herding the cats…. You will see me again
