Trip Advisor ranks Spruce Point Inn #1 of all 12 hotels in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. If you had the opportunity for a visit during the 2011 season, you know why (and have your own top 10 reasons to agree with our motto that Spruce Point Inn is the place for “oceanside memories, made in Maine.”)
The Inn is closed for the season now, buttoning up the 57-acre grounds, cottages, townhomes and Main Inn for the winter. “Brightline,” the new launch we added this summer to take guests into Boothbay Harbor Village “by sea” comes out of the water soon. And the hammocks and all the new furniture for our oceanfront café, Deck, and arranged around the two swimming pools have been stored.
Spruce Point Inn will reopen for the 2012 season in May. We’re taking reservations now for the high points of the season: the 50thAnniversary Windjammer Days June 26-27, 2012, Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends, June weddings, fall foliage.
You really should plan now to let me know when you’d like to make the trip to Mid-coast Maine to experience Spruce Point Inn for yourself.
In the meantime, we’ll leave you with some of the comments we’ve received:
Being able to sit on the porch enjoying the great views of the ocean was simply the best. The staff could not have been more helpful and courtesy to us and grounds are spectacular. If you ever have a chance to go to Boothbay Harbor, by all means, stay at the Spruce Point Inn.
the suggestions of the desk staff gave us information to experience the area like a local person. Captain Shawn was a very informed man about local sites and nature and gave us a very personal sailing adventure
We actually had three couples extend their weekend so they could stay an extra night despite the wedding festivities having come to an end! As for amenities and activities, the Spruce has everything you’d ever be looking for. You can kayak right from their ocean front dock, or borrow bicycles for the day. They also have a water taxi of sorts that will shuttle guests to and from town. The pools are gorgeous, and the spa was amazing (highly recommend the organic facial!!!). The restaurants and bars on-site are wonderful as well. It’s worth noting how kid-friendly the Spruce is – We had several of our young nieces and nephews in town for the wedding, and they had a blast in the kids activity center and at the playground. Thanks to the Spruce our wedding weekend was the most magical weekend ever! We look forward to visiting again and again and again…!
Remember the resort in the Dirty Dancing movie; 1950’s, you vacationed with your family at the same resort each year, met the same families, activites abounded for the kids, adults enjoyed the view and being with ‘yearly’ friends. This resort spoke to us in the same way. From the salt water pool, kayaks and canoes available on your private dock, decks beseached with adirondeck chairs, life size checkers and hula hoops, fat tired bikes for cruising, rooms in little ‘inns’ – all were wonderful.
Spruce Point Inn is such a beautful get-away that is by far one of the best “dog friendly” places my wife and I have stayed at. Overall, great place to stay with your pet. Very, very cool.
The Spruce Point Inn is one of the best places to go for a family vacation, or for a romantic getaway. My family has been coming here every summer for the past five years for a family reunion. The staff is wonderful, the accommodations are very clean, and the views are unbelievable. The restaurant does a great job, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bicycle, kayaking, tennis and fitness room are all complimentary. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is.
