Thank you to our guests and community at large for supporting Spruce Point Inn during one of the most challenging times in the hospitality industry.

The 2020 season presented us with a fresh catch of challenges and an equal share of rewards. Postponements and altered traditions, travel restrictions and staffing limitations that kept us on our toes. But coastal Maine has once again proved itself eternally good for the soul, and sharing that with so many of you meant the world to us this year.

We are grateful that so many new and old friends chose to enjoy a share of Maine’s delights with us this season. Myself and our whole team want to say once again, thank you for choosing to make the trip. It’s an honor to have hosted so many new and old (and masked!) faces up here on the Maine coast during these unprecedented times. We also want to thank you for the patience and kindness you exhibited this year as we juggled the different restrictions and limitations as they evolved throughout the year. And to those who couldn’t make the trip this year, we miss you and hope to see you when the coast of Maine beckons you back. 

As Spruce Point Inn looks towards the 2021 season, I want to let you know why we anticipate this upcoming season to be an extraordinary one. Our new restaurant, Whiteclover, is set to make its debut in 2021, holidays boils & bakes on the deck return, and a return to the handmade touches that have defined our personable service for generations. And if that wasn’t enough, many of Maine’s postponed 200th birthday celebrations have been rescheduled to the 2021 season!

Your Well-Being is Our Priority

At Spruce Point Inn, ensuring the health and safety of our guests and team, and maintaining the ultra-cleanliness of the resort, are our top priorities. We have adopted especially rigorous cleaning and hygiene measures developed in consultation with State, national CDC and global public health authorities. You’ll find antibacterial hand-sanitization stations throughout the resort, but we do encourage you to bring and utilize your own hand sanitizers, as well as face coverings to wear in common public areas. To ensure your health and safety, we’ve also modified some of the ways we operate:

  • Encouraging safe physical distancing practices in all public areas
  • Reducing capacities across outlets
  • Modifying housekeeping services to meet or exceed all Maine CDC recommendations
  • Intensifying continuous commitments to cleanliness and hygiene
  • Increasing the frequency and depth of cleaning all public areas, including the use of hospital-grade disinfectants
