The Secret Season

The glorious spring days on the Midcoast of Maine are what we look forward to each season. Sparkling water, a cool but pleasant sea-breeze, and a canopy of green. It’s a magical time to be here in Maine, when our world is new and fresh.

After a long winter tucked indoors, it's more important than ever to give your mind, body and soul a needed boost by introducing new sights, flavors and surroundings. We like to call it Travel Therapy, and we invite you to write your own prescription full of sun rays, ocean waves and play days. With fresh air and open spaces, Spruce Point Inn is an ideal landscape to safely unwind.

Break from your routine; reconnect with yourself, with someone you love or with Mother Nature. Plan your rejuvenating spring escape now and prepare to enjoy the blooming of our region’s endless outdoor activities!

Boothbay Aglow, Basking in Spring

Summer gets all the attention up here in Maine. And while there’s nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned Maine summer, I’m here to make a case for a special time of the year that rarely gets the attention it deserves. I’m talking about the secret season: that quiet moment before the summer traffic arrives when the coast blooms back to life. That’s why this spring we suggest that you count down to Spruce Point Inn’s opening day on May 18th. It’s a time for “Boothbay Aglow” (with full homage to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ successful extension of its season via “Gardens Aglow” in December).
